Dear Mom…

I know a lot of people say how they have the most amazing mother in the world…and while that may be true to them, it is also true to me. I truly do have the most amazing, selfless, beautiful, heart-of-gold, funny & loving mother. To say that I’m lucky to call her Mom is an understatement. She is the one I can call with any question or concern. She is the one that would drop anything to come help me with the most trivial thing. She is the one that will give up any free time she has to go help someone else (and sometimes I have to remind her to take a day for HER). We are so lucky to have her in our family, and I know that I am guilty of not telling her how much I appreciate everything she does for me:
Mom, I love when we get the giggles and laugh so hard our sides hurt.  I love when we get some time together to go have some fun shopping & browsing around.  Thank you for teaching me how to be a good person by your example.  You make my house-cleaning chores a lot more  fun when you come over and chat with me and dig in and help me get things done.  I value your opinion & your input on decision’s I’m making in life.  And I will never be able to repay you for every sacrifice you’ve made to make my life so memorable.  Thank you.  I love you.  I’m so glad to call you a friend.  I hope that I’m at least HALF the mother you are when I have kids of my own.

Mom & I on my Wedding Day

Not only do I have the most amazing Mother in the world…I’m lucky enough to have the most amazing Mother-in-law as well.  Shell,  thank you for being such a great person in my life for the last 6+ years.  You’re a fun co-worker, a friend, my horseback riding partner, and the key-holder to the mystery that is my husband.  I can’t thank you enough for having such an objective point of view, and for your support.  I love you dearly, and couldn’t ask for a better mother-in-law.  I never in my life thought I would be so lucky as to have another person in my life that I could call “Mom”, but I’m lucky enough to have you.  Thank you “Mom”!

I love you both so very much, and I know I’m guilty of not telling you this enough.  I love and appreciate you and all you do for me (and D too).  Happy Mother’s Day!

XOXO,

-Lacy

Ahhh…….Honey you made me cry…….happy tears. That is so sweet and thoughtful, you are the most thoughtful person and I love that about you. You never cease to amaze me with the fun things that you pop up with (like this) or the most amazing unique personalized ideas and gifts you find. You put your whole heart into anything and everything that you do. It has been a PURE JOY to see you grow from our tiny little amazing clogger to the beautiful responsible women you have become. You have always made me (us) so proud… You have a heart of gold and are always there for me you are my best friend and confidante. Thank you for all you do for me, us and our family as well. I admire the LOVE that you share with your sister Amy, TREASURE IT DAILY.
I have grown to know that there is absolutely NOTHING more important in life than FAMILY and the LOVE of my beautiful daughters and husband. There is nothing in life that brings me more JOY, LOVE and PEACE than to see the beautiful daughters you have grown to be…..inside and out.

All that we will get to take from this life is the LOVE and WoNDerFul MemORieS we share…… :)
We will get to share a lot more giggles and good times together.

Thank you for being my loving daughter and friend.

Lacy thanks so much for the compliment hope I can live up to what you think of me. I cherish the relationships we share as mother-in-law, friend, co-worker, and horseback riding partner we have so much fun when we are together I don’t know of anything else I would want for my son then you. Our family is truly blessed to have you in our lives Love You!

Before & After

I’ve had questions as to what my editing style is, and what the images look like straight out of the camera compared to when my clients receive their images.  I had an absolutely gorgeous session last night, and I thought this would be a great image to do a Before & After post on:

Original camera settings: ISO 100, SS 1/1000, f/2.5 with a 50mm lens on a Canon 7D body

You can see that there isn’t a HUGE difference in the images, but I make them to the look that I absolutely love!  Enjoy!!

Spring Photography class by Tonya Peterson

I have a lot of people tell me that they want to learn how to use their camera’s better.  But you can’t learn how to use your camera better if you’re not willing to be taught.  My good friend & mentor Tonya Peterson is bringing her very popular photography course to Vernal this month, and if you’re wanting to learn, you need to learn from THIS amazing girl!!  Not only does Tonya take some gorgeous pictures, but she is also a Photography graduate of Rocky Mountain School of Photography in Montana.  She also has recently gone back to shooting Film, which is a huge testament to her knowing exactly how to get great results out of your camera by knowing more than just how to look at that screen on the back of your DSLR.
Tonya was with me on my Wedding Day and afterwards, we became fast friends.  She was also the Photographer that mentored me in the beginning of my career!  I couldn’t be where I am today without her, and I am grateful for her knowledge that she has bestowed on me.

So, if you’re wanting to learn from one of the best in the State, you really should sign up for her class which will be on April 20th, 2012!  Limited availability, so act fast!
