I just can’t get enough of these two and how cute they are together…and how cute they are with Mike’s absolutely adorable daughter.
The Wedding was suppose to take place on the Golf Course in Vernal because that is a special place for Mike & Amanda…but the night before the wedding, Mother Nature decided that she had a different plan. It SNOWED! They say that it is good luck for it to rain on your wedding day, so I’m sure it’s EXTRA good luck for it to snow on you wedding day as well. After it snows in our little bowl basin, it generally gets REALLY cold, and this storm was no exception. That morning I got a text from Amanda telling me that Mike was blaming her for the snowfall, and here’s the story in her words:
“Mike blames the snow on our wedding on me. I work at the golf course and when there is snow on the ground that means no work for me. Well just like any other year, by the time Fall rolls around I get burnt out from working all the time and start hoping for snow. Well… This season was a little more grueling than ones in the past so I was hoping for snow much earlier then normal. I guess I should have been a little more specific to Mother Nature! ”
The ceremony was moved to the reception location instead of the Golf Course, and it was a very pretty setting for these three to start their lives together. I stood at the front of the isle to photograph, and as soon as Amanda came around the corner lovingly hanging on to her father, I heard Mike over my shoulder uttered the word, “Wow”. I glanced at him and he was absolutely beaming. He couldn’t take his eyes off her! I almost lost it. Tears started forming right then and there (maybe I shouldn’t shoot there so I don’t break down the instant I hear how in love the groom is with his bride…note to self). I tried to compose myself, and as Amanda stood in front of Mike and his daughter, with love in her eyes, the emotion took her over. What an adorable couple these two are, and I’m so blessed to have them as friends and to have been the one to capture this day for them.
Thank you to Mike, Amanda & little Leaira for letting me share your very special day. I know you were destined for each other. It just oozes from you both. I’m so incredibly happy for you!! Congratulations!! -Love, Lacy
